HINTS & TIPS
COLOUR
When choosing the colour for your window shading solution take inspiration from existing colours finishes and materials already in the room. If starting afresh and creating a new style and colour range compare any inspirational images, paint or fabric samples to each other to help envisage the finished look.
FABRICS
Fabrics come in a range of plain colours, prints, weaves and textures. Most fabrics break into two categories, Dimout and Blackout.
WHAT IS DIMOUT?
Dimout fabric will reduce the amount of light that transfers through the fabric. Dimout fabric will still allow light to pass but take away the glare, just remember lighter fabrics will appear brighter and darker fabrics duller.

WHAT IS BLACKOUT FABRIC?
Blackout fabric is exactly what it sounds like, the fabric stops 100% of the light passing through. Just remember that even though the fabric is a blackout the system the fabric is in may not be a black out system.
